For many of the men that sailed to war from Australia, a large part of their time was spent away from the front line either being trained, recuperating after being released from hospital, or helping to train new recruits at camps and depots across Egypt and southern England. In this section we will be learning about these camps and the roles that they played during the war. They will appear in chronological order as they were used by the men of the 5th reinforcements of the 22nd Battalion, the 2nd Division or the Australian Imperial Force as a whole.
