Red Cross Files

22nd-battalionThe 22nd Battalion Roll of Honour has 882 men that made the ultimate sacrifice during the First World War, from the sailing from Australia in May 1915 to Egypt, to one of the final engagements fought by the AIF in France in October 1918.

Many of the men have WW1 Red Cross Files for the Wounded and Missing – click on the link of area of combat to learn more of their fate, often taken from first hand accounts from their comrades. Biographies are also provided for the men of the 5th/22nd, our focus group, that were killed during the war.
